Eternal God,
We come before you this morning with thanksgiving in our hearts. We are so blessed. Some in our midst are grieving, may we provide comfort and support. Some in our midst are sick, may we surround them with our care. Some in our midst are despairing, may our love encourage them. Help us to be honest and trustworthy in our relationships with others and with you. Sometimes, O God, we are the ones grieving, sick or despairing and we don’t feel blessed. Help us to know you are alongside us, regardless of life’s circumstances and regardless of how we feel about you. We give you thanks, AMEN.

Here is an email from Denny Krick:
“John: You might include in your newsletter that Peg is healing and is home as of noon today (Thursday). Amazing what a shower and some solid food will do. Thanks.”
Please pray for Sandra Justice’s mother, Hilda Layman. She is in ICU at St. Mary’s and is in very critical condition. They had to “code” her three times.
Please continue to pray for Barb and Fig Newton as they consider the appropriate steps for treating Barb’s uterine cancer.
Harry Congdon’s funeral is tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. at the football field. Our church will be providing a meal for 125 family members at 11:30 a.m. Please pray for Harry’s family and all involved in the meal.
Don’t forget: Sunday is the Horn of Plenty Drive!
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
