Dear Author of Life,
A new week is before us and we give you thanks. We don’t know what lies ahead of us, but we do know that you will be there with us. Strengthen us, O Lord, that we may be equal to the tasks at hand and ahead. May we embody a spirit of compassion and love in all our encounters with others. May we look beyond external appearances into the hearts of those we meet. May we work for justice and peace in all we do. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
