O Guiding Light,
We watch the TV in amazement as the miners are being rescued from the mine in Chile. The power and fortitude of the human spirit is remarkable and inspiring. We also hear the voices of the miners who firmly believe you were with them during this two month ordeal. We know, O God, that you are not capricious, that all tragedies do not end this successfully, yet we do affirm that you walk with your children, regardless of life’s circumstances. Thank you for the success of this rescue. Please watch over those still underground. May all return safely. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.

1. My friend, Donna Fisher Hardin (former member of Central) (her husband was killed in a small plane crash in Tulsa in July) was just diagnosed with breast cancer. It is very early and a lumpectomy was done yesterday. She has a very positive outlook, but the news came very quickly on the heels of dealing with the loss of her husband.
2. My sister-in-law, Cheri Hoskins has been diagnosed with Stage 3 thyroid cancer. Surgery is scheduled for later this month in Plano, Texas.
3. Please add my son-in-law to the list of servicemen that is published every week. Capt. Phil Pearsall, USAF, assigned to the 89th Airlift Wing at Andrews Air Force Base.
Thanks
Mickie Giberson
We certainly will lift all these people in our prayers.
Tonight is WWNF. John Wheeler is in Tulsa for a week long class. I will be teaching the youth. I can’t wait, although I will miss Jack Weston’s class. If you haven’t attended yet you need to come, Jack does an outstanding job.
Catherine Cullumber reports that she has two volunteers to now help with the grief ministry. Thank you to Tess Gregory and Beth Phillips. This is a subtle, yet profound ministry opportunity.
The Pony Express is coming.
