Prayer for Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving!

Please pray for Jamie Kay Moore, Maribel Moore’s daughter. She is visiting from San Antonio, became ill and is now in St. Mary’s Hospital.

Please pray for Dale Vance. Yesterday Dale was hospitalized at St. Mary’s.

On this Thanksgiving Day we have much for which to be thankful. We also have many concerns in our families, our church and our world. I thought it very appropriate for us to take to heart the wonderful prayer of St. Francis. I suggest you pray it aloud……

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life

I hope you have a blessed holiday. Grace and peace,

John McLemore
