Prayer for Today, Friday, November 5

Ground of Our Being,

You are our rock, our foundation. You know our desires, our hopes and our ambitions. You also know our fears, our doubt, and our sin. Forgive us, O God, when we imagine we can live without You. Forgive us when we believe we can accomplish all things and overcome all obstacles on our own. Help us, we pray, to turn into your embrace. Help us to know your strength and experience your love within a community of believers, specifically at Central Christian Church. When our faith is strong, may we have faith on behalf of others. When our faith is weak, may other’s faith sustain us. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name, AMEN.
