Loving Creator,
We look about us and see so many challenges to faithful living and we often feel overwhelmed. Forgive us, we pray, when our discouragement leads us to a “so what” attitude. Jesus calls us to be “salt” and “light” to the world. He says that the faith is like yeast which pervades and effects the dough. In the midst of the challenges may we find ways to share our faith. May that sharing be by doing, reaching out, loving and caring for the widow, orphan and stranger in our midst. May we be light emitting, salty, yeasty people, bringing glory and honor to You as we serve those in our community. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.
