Eternal Presence,
Your beauty is all about us. Open our eyes, O Lord, that we might see and appreciate you. The fast paced world in which we live and move allows us little time for reflection and spiritual renewal. Forgive us, O God, when we fill our lives with meetings, appointments, errands, flitting hither and yon, all the time moving you from the center to the edges of our lives. May we learn again the ancient practice of sabbath, devoting time for rest, reflection and renewal. Slow us down, O Lord, that we might dwell in the life affirming beauty that is you. In Jesus name, AMEN.
