Dear One who is our Light and our Salvation,
We give you thanks for another day as we awake and greet the dawn. Life is a precious gift and as we live may we strive to honor you with the words of our mouths and the works of our hands. Our thoughts go out to those in need, particularly as the weather turns cold. Forgive us, O Lord, when we choose to pass by on the other side. May we hear again Jesus’ words in Matthew 25 and seek to care for the “least of these”. We pray for strength, courage and boldness as we journey “along the Way”. In Jesus name, AMEN.

The funeral for Twyla Tefft, Scott’s mother, is tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. We are providing the funeral luncheon for the family because we have the space and no steps. It will be between 11:30 a.m. and Noon. As a result the CWF, which was scheduled for their regular 1st Wednesday activities, has graciously agreed to move their meetings and luncheon back one week to November 10th. Please pray for the Tefft family.
The Christian Action and Community Service Committee is still asking for coats, mittens and shoes to be distributed to needy children at a local school. Look in your closets or consider making a trip to Hope Outreach or the Salvation Army or to the sale racks and bring a coat or two to provide warmth for a child in need.
Please pray for our Pony Express campaign as we move into the second week of passing the saddlebags. A number have already been turned into the office.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
