O God,
What will tomorrow bring? For some, it will be a festive time with family and friends. For some, it will mean hurriedly scurrying from relative’s home to relative’s home so no one will get their feelings hurt. For some, family gatherings are a time when there is always tension, discomfort, even confrontation. For some it will be a lonely time when there is no one with whom to share a meal. For some it will be a sad time because there is an empty chair at the table. Spend your Spirit, we pray, to be upon us all. Regardless of life’s circumstances, may we each give thanks in our own way and may we consider the situations of those around us. In Jesus name, AMEN.

Ken Slack remains at Bass hospital with blood clots. Richard Cook is at Bass recovering from his most recent surgery. Joan Petersen is still at St. Mary’s along with Margie Edwards. Tegan Cowherd is now eating and has been dismissed from Bass.
Please pray for all of these members and friends.
We have a number of members, family members and friends who are travelling. May they be safe.
I am enjoying a few days off and away from the church, getting ready for a family Thanksgiving. I did hear from Baylor yesterday and Monday we will set appointments for the drug trial. Hopefully Carolyn and I will be going to Dallas in the next week to ten days.
Happy Thanksgiving,
John McLemore
