O Divine Presence,
You are a God of many names. We perceive You is so many ways. In these moments may we experience You as the God who is with us. On this last day of 2011 we reflect back on the year. Forgive us, O Lord, for those times when we turned away from You. Our sin was often not blatant or obvious, usually it was a matter of attitude and heart. Our prayer for the New Year is that we are faithful to You. We pray that we might focus on the basics of the faith: loving you, loving our neighbor, and making disciples of Jesus Christ. The past is gone. Our sin exists. Help us to repent as we follow Jesus and embrace the gift of new possibilities in 2011. It is in His name we pray, AMEN.

Please continue to pray for the families of Beverly Brant, Maxine Moore and Dillon Wichert.
What are your dreams and aspirations for Central Christian Church for 2011? How will you be an agent for Jesus: in your family, in our church, in our community? What plans do you have to enhance your spiritual life and the collective spiritual journey of our congregation? These are things to think about as you make your plans and resolutions for the new year.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
