Prayer for Today, Monday, December 20

God our Comforter,

Our hearts are filled with joy and hope as we move toward the celebration of Christ’s birth, and we give You thanks. In the midst of all the distractions this time of year, Your message of love flows over us, sweeping us into Your everlasting arms. Thank you, O Lord, for the blessings of Christmas. Thank you, dear God, for loving us so much that your grace became flesh and dwelt among us. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.

Yesterday was a good day at Central Christian Church. . .it was Christmas Sunday.

Don’t forget our Christmas Eve services this Friday at 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. in the sanctuary.

Grace and peace,

Advent Devotion for Today. Please read Luke 1:26-38:
Prayer: Lord, Perhaps it is time to put our lives where we say our hearts are - to practice the infinite condescension of a baby who is God, to believe that we must be a part of bringing about the kingdom which He proclaimed, to love others as He loved us; to forgive others if we hope to be forgiven, to treat the least of our brothers and sisters as we hope to be treated; to stop fretting about trivial concerns of living; and truly invite the Christ of the manger to live and breathe in us. Amen.
