Prayer for Today, Thursday, December 30

O Giver of Life and Source of Peace,

We are surrounded, covered and undergirded by the mystery of Your Presence. Forgive us, O God, when we attempt to confine You to the limits of our understanding. Forgive us, O God, when we understand life in terms of which side one is on and always assuming You are on ours. Equip and empower us, Loving Creator, to see life from the perspective of those in Your Reign, where there are no divisions and no borders; where the strong embrace the weak; where all are welcomed and loved; where everyone works for a just world. This is our prayer for today, tomorrow and always. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.
