Prayer for Today, Wednesday, December 22

O Divine Presence,

Every day brings new opportunities and new challenges. Help us, O God, to take advantage of the opportunities and to meet the challenges. Our prayer for this day is one of peace. The Prince of Peace came to give us a glimpse of You and usher in Your reign, a reign of peace, hope, joy and love. May we be Your agents in the world, seeking to resolve differences, helping others to experience Your love, and empowering those around us to see the face of Jesus in those they meet. Forgive our failures, we pray, and draw us unto Yourself this Christmas season. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.

Aria Justice had a successful tonsillectomy yesterday and is recovering at home.

Davida Whitsett is recovering from a hospital stay.

Joan Petersen has been dismissed from St. Mary’s. She will have to go to OKC for a procedure at a future date.

Carolyn’s sister, Judith, has been dismissed from Deaconess Hospital in OKC.

Please pray for these friends and family members.

The R & R Committee will meet this evening to finalize plans for the 10:30 a.m. combined service of worship on Sunday, December 26th. Remember we aren’t having an 8:00 a.m. service or Sunday School this Sunday. Everyone is invited to dress casually, bring a breakfast treat to share between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., and then to worship in the Fellowship Hall, being lead by the Revive and Renew team. It will be a great day!

Grace and peace,

John McLemore
