Lord of all Creation,
The birds are chirping. There is a gentle breeze from the south. It will be a good day. It is the day You have made. As we bask in the beauty of Your creation help us to be good caretakers, Dear Lord. All of nature and all that we have belongs to You. We are called to be good stewards of that which has been entrusted to us. Forgive us, Loving God, when we fail to take this responsibility seriously. Forgive us, Lord of All, when we collectively say, “It’s ours and we can do with it as we choose”. May we be empowered to be the voice of reason and responsibility, protecting Your creation for future generations. This we pray in Jesus name. AMEN.

WWNF is tonight. The Bell Choir is also rehearsing at 7:30 p.m.
CORRECTION: The all church picture, originally scheduled for this Sunday, has been moved to Palm Sunday. We are having one combined service on Palm Sunday so it is a good time for a large group picture. That is the Choir Cantata Sunday. Plan to attend.
The scripture for today is Matthew 17:24-27:
When they reached Capernaum, the collectors of the temple tax came to Peter and said, “Does your teacher not pay the temple tax?”He said, “Yes, he does.” And when he came home, Jesus spoke of it first, asking, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do kings of the earth take toll or tribute? From their children or from others?”When Peter said, “From others,” Jesus said to him, “Then the children are free. However, so that we do not give offense to them, go to the sea and cast a hook; take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a coin; take that and give it to them for you and me.”
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
