O God of All That Is,
From everlasting to everlasting, You are God. You sustain us and comfort us with Your Divine Presence. On this Lord’s Day we honor You with our worship. Thank You, Lord, for all our blessings. Thank You for freeing us from the bonds of sin and death. Thank You for the Christ who showed us Your love and who showed us how to live. In His name we pray, AMEN.

May we pray for safe travels for our members and friends and a safe holiday for all.
Please pray for our services of worship which occur today. May they provide an environment where God is experienced.
Let us offer thanks for this great nation as we prepare to celebrate Independence Day.
Please pray for our General Minister and President, Sharon Watkins, as she bikes from Indianapolis to Nashville for the General Assembly.
The scripture for today is Romans 1:1-7:
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy scriptures, the gospel concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness by resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for the sake of his name, including yourselves who are called to belong to Jesus Christ, To all God’s beloved in Rome, who are called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Psalm for the week is Psalm 14:
Fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is no one who does good.
The LORD looks down from heaven on humankind to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.
They have all gone astray, they are all alike perverse; there is no one who does good, no, not one.
Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon the LORD?
There they shall be in great terror, for God is with the company of the righteous.
You would confound the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge.
O that deliverance for Israel would come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice; Israel will be glad.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
