God of Eternal Promises,
You bring a melody to our hearts. May Your Spirit flow through us, causing us to sing joyfully of Your eternal presence. Life is a symphony and we each have our part to play. May our tunes be in harmony with Your eternal and majestic themes. May we listen for the amazing nuances that are present in our ensemble, where our music blends with the music of others to grandly praise You. We thank You for the notes and tempo of the universe. Bless us, O Lord, as we add our parts. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.

Please continue to pray for Tyler Zander and Brice Gannon, the boys hurt in the elevator accident. I have heard so many stories about their condition, some conflicting. The hard reality is they need our prayers, daily, even hourly.
June Frei is recovering from cuts when the windows were blown out at Golden Oaks during that terrible wind storm on Monday. Please pray for June and all those affected by the storm.
Please pray for Rueben Justice, son of Sam and Sandra Justice. He is hospitalized in Illinois.
Please pray for our teachers and students as they prepare for school. It is just around the corner.
Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes. I was overwhelmed. I don’t feel a day over 35, but now I can add 30 years to that number.
The scripture for today is Romans 16:17-23:
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to keep an eye on those who cause dissensions and offenses, in opposition to the teaching that you have learned; avoid them. For such people do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded. For while your obedience is known to all, so that I rejoice over you, I want you to be wise in what is good and guileless in what is evil. The God of peace will shortly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
Timothy, my co-worker, greets you; so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my relatives. I Tertius, the writer of this letter, greet you in the Lord. Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus, greet you.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
