O Lord Our Lord,
We rejoice in this day for it is the day You have made. May our spirits be high and our outlook positive. You are present to us in all the events of life, large and small, and we give You thanks. Open our eyes, Dear God, so that we might truly appreciate the blessings that are all around us. Open our hearts, Divine Presence, so that we might see You in the faces of neighbors, friends and even strangers. We offer this prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Please pray for Tina Swanson and Maggie Bartlett. Both broke bones in their feet. Tina is in a boot and Maggie has moved from a boot to “rockers” shoes.
Please pray for the family of John Yeager. His funeral is at 10:00 a.m. today at the Hunter Methodist Church.
Sunday will be a big day at Central. Everyone is invited to wear their school colors when they come to Sunday School and worship, then join the entire community at our Fall Kick-off Tailgate Party. We will have a lot of fun. You won’t want to miss it. . .and bring a friend with you.
The scripture for today is Galatians 5:22-26:
By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, competing against one another, envying one another.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
