Author of Peace,
In the Book of Revelation (3:15-16) we read, “I know your works; you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” O God we seek your forgiveness because we are lukewarm Christians. We are in desperate need of the burning fires of revival where a passion for You and the mission of Your church becomes palpable. Stir us, Loving God. Confront is in our passivity. Help us to realize we are the hands and feet of Jesus in the world. We are set apart and sent forth to make disciples. May your call and claim on our time, talent, energy and resources take priority in our lives so that we might be a movement for wholeness in a broken and fragmented world. In Jesus name we pray. AMEN.

Bible School starts this evening. Please pray that hearts are touched and lives changed this week.
All 17 of our Mission Campers returned Friday, safe, sound and “fired up”. We are blessed by our youth. May we be a blessing to them.
Eleven years ago today Carolyn and I began this shared ministry with you. It is hard to believe it has been this long. May God continue to bless our work together.
The scripture for today is Romans 12:9-21:
Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints; extend hospitality to strangers. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are. Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all. If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”No, “if your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them something to drink; for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads.”Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
