All Embracing Love,
We experience You in so many ways, some easily recognized while others are less understood. We offer prayers for peace and healing, waiting for responses which often occur unexpectedly or are beyond our comprehension. Forgive our hubris, O Lord, that suggests we completely know Your movements in our lives. Please forgive our limited definitions of Your grace which we package and offer to one another out of convenience. We somewhat fearfully open our hearts to You today, because we know true devotion leads us out of easy answers, comfortable notions, and homogeneous relationships into the real adventure of faith. This we pray in Jesus' name. AMEN.

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you our beloved Dorotha Immel died yesterday evening of an apparent heart attack. Her daughter Becky will be in Enid this afternoon. Her son terry is in his home in Mexico and will be in Enid late tomorrow or Sunday. Dorotha's funeral will likely be on Tuesday, but that is not certain. Please pray for Dorotha's family, friends and our church. She was one of our "pillars".
Tim McAnally's surgery yesterday morning was successful. He will likely go home today.
Please pray for the Men's Walk to Emmaus we are hosting at the church. It began yesterday evening.
The scripture for today is Jude 1:17-23:
But you, beloved, must remember the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; 18for they said to you, "In the last time there will be scoffers, indulging their own ungodly lusts." 19It is these worldly people, devoid of the Spirit, who are causing divisions. 20But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; 21keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. 22And have mercy on some who are wavering; 23save others by snatching them out of the fire; and have mercy on still others with fear, hating even the tunic defiled by their bodies.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
