Divine Companion,
You are our God and we seek You. There is an emptiness in us that only Your presence can fill. Forgive us, Loving Lord, when we seek completion in other places and in other ways. Our efforts are vane. Money, power, prestige, human acclaim, vices and addictions may offer temporary solace, but only a relationship with You can complete us. Only Your love and grace can fill the void. We pray You will come to us as we surrender to You. In Jesus’ name. AMEN.
Dorotha Immel’s funeral will be Tuesday in the Sanctuary. We will offer a meal for her family, something she did 100’s of times for others, at 12:30 p.m. Please continue to pray for her children and friends.
Marion Batterman went home after a heart scare. It wasn’t his heart.

Please continue to pray for Gene Mason, Davida Whitsitt, Ruby Manahan, Merle Phillips and Tim McAnally that they might continue to improve, some at home, others in the hospital.
Don Johnson is preaching in the regular morning services tomorrow. I will be doing my monthly turn in R & R. The Youth Choir will be singing in the 10:15 a.m. sanctuary service.
There will be two committee meetings tomorrow. Stewardship will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. Evangelism will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room.
The Men’s Walk to Emmaus is going well. Please continue to pray for this event.
The scripture for today is Jude 1:24-25:
Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
