Holy God,
John tells us You loved the world so much that You sent You son. May we believe in him, Loving God, and may our belief be witnessed in our actions. We pray You will forgive us when our deeds contradict Jesus’ teachings. May we realize what others see us do says much more than the words coming from our mouths. We are so blessed, Gracious Lord. May we share our blessings with others. In Jesus’ name. AMEN.

The graveside service for Melissa Hula’s father is at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow at the cemetery in Perry. This is a different time than what I previously posted. Please continue to lift up Melissa and her family in your prayers.
Please also to pray for Donna Hickey, Joyce Greenhaw’s sister, who is undergoing radiation treatments in Stillwater for her cancer and for Terry Jones, who will soon be having radiation treatments in OKC.
TRUNK or TREAT is on October 30th. WE NEED LOTS OF CANDY AND POP. Please bring your contributions to the church. There is a tub outside Sally’s office to receive them.
Also, please take a moment and fill out a Heart Card. Respond to the question, “What I Love About My Church”. The blank cards are at the Welcome Center.
Tonight we have WWNF (5:15) and a Pastor’s Cabinet Meeting (7:30 p.m.).
The scripture for today is 2 Timothy 4:9-22:
Do your best to come to me soon, for Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica; Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful in my ministry. I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus. When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments. Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will pay him back for his deeds. You also must beware of him, for he strongly opposed our message.
At my first defense no one came to my support, but all deserted me. May it not be counted against them! But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and save me for his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the household of Onesiphorus. Erastus remained in Corinth; Trophimus I left ill in Miletus. Do your best to come before winter. Eubulus sends greetings to you, as do Pudens and Linus and Claudia and all the brothers and sisters. The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
