O Lord of Life,
The beauty of this morning is remarkable. The cold air and bright sunlight bring a quickness to our steps and a smile to our lips. This is indeed a day to give you thanks and praise. As we move toward Thanksgiving Sunday and the national Thanksgiving holiday, may we reflect on all the gifts we have received: material, physical and spiritual. You are a God of blessings and we are truly blessed. Thank You, O Lord. May our lives and good works reflect Your goodness. May our service to others embody the spirit of Christ. May all that we do and say bring You honor. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.

The scripture for today is Philippians 2:12-13:
Therefore, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed me, not only in my presence, but much more now in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
