Loving Spirit,
We each assume various roles during the course of our days: son or daughter, sibling, student, friend, worker, spouse, parent, neighbor, grandparent, and many others. May we fulfill the responsibilities of every role we assume with dignity and grace. Please forgive us, Holy God, when we miss the mark, when we walk away from responsibilities, and when our actions adversely affect others. May one role be at the very core of everything we do, that role being a Christian. May our faith sustain us and may our trust in You empower us to share the story of Your grace as we live out our various roles. This we pray in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

WWNF is tonight. Come at 5:15 and enjoy an Italian meal of either spaghetti or fettuccini, garlic bread, and a dessert.
Remember Sunday we will assemble at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a breakfast and a brief program kicking off our Pony Express Run. There will be good food, good fellowship and a lot of fun. Sunday School classes will NOT meet.

The scripture for today is Colossians 1:21-23:
And you who were once estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his fleshly body through death, so as to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before him—provided that you continue securely established and steadfast in the faith, without shifting from the hope promised by the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven. I, Paul, became a servant of this gospel.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
