Comforting God,
We cry out and You are there. Throughout history we see Your desire to live in relationship with humankind, offering forgiveness and seeking reconciliation. In Jesus parable of the prodigal we hear of the father waiting for the return of the son, running to greet him and celebrating his return. So You are to us, loving God. Forgive our misguided ways, we pray. May we turn into Your embrace. May we accept Your grace and may our lives be transformed, living as You would have us live. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.

Carolyn and I are home from Dallas. It was generally a good trip, but, as it turns out, I have to make one more trip next week to begin the drug. On the up side, the oncologist is still very positive about my prognosis.
There is no Saturday service, but we will observe our regular worship and Sunday School schedule this Sunday, January 1.
The scripture for today is Mark_4:10-20
Grace and peace,
