Prayer for Today, Friday, January 27

Loving God,

How do we express our love for you in ways that others can see? Scripture warns against being like the hypocrites who publicly proclaim their fasting or who stand on the street corners offering loud and long prayers. Indeed, O Lord, faith is a private matter, but it is also something we are called to share. Forgive us, we pray, when others cannot see Christ living in us. Forgive us, loving God, when we say we love you but don't love our neighbor. May our Christian witness be seen as we share love and faith with those around us. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN

Good news. Bert Sims is in his home. They stopped one of his medications and he is clear minded. His daughters are caring for him.

Please pray for Bert and those still hospitalized.
