God of Amazing Assurances,
We are indeed blessed, O Lord, by Your love and we seek to honor You with our devotion, faith and service. Often, however, we miss the mark. We fall short. We succumb to our baser instincts and allow the desire for success, power, prestige, and always being “right” to motivate us. We beg Your forgiveness, Loving God. May we follow Jesus’ example and live our lives for others. May we seek to do more than admire Jesus. May we seek to model our lives after his and be true followers. This we pray in his name. AMEN.
