Prayer for Today, Tuesday, January 24

O God to Whom we pray,

Scripture tells us You know our prayers even before our lips utter the words. Prayer is a central discipline of our faith. We are called to pray out of the depths of our sorrow and out of the heights of our joy. Forgive us, Loving God, when we fail to pause and pray. We know that prayer does not change you, but it does change us. Sometimes in our despair we feel our prayers are heard only by the wind. Then as we look back, we see and understand that you have been, are now, and always will be with us. We give you thanks. In the name of Jesus we pray. AMEN.
________

Neta Smith had successful back surgery yesterday and will be in St. Mary’s a day or two.

Vera Sue Bunch asked us to pray for Jean Lisi, Frank’s sister. She is not doing well at all.

Please continue to pray for Bert Sims and Randy Conrady.
