Prayer for Today, Wednesday, January 11

Amazing God,

We live in an age when the quantity and availability of date is numbing. We are inundated on every level with facts and figures. There is so much that we tune out most of it. Help us, Dear God, to understand the difference between data, information and wisdom. May we seek to discern those facts and figures that are truly important, knowing that our ultimate goal is wisdom that leads to right thoughts and actions. May we never reduce our understanding of You to numbers, theorems, or equations. May we embrace the mystery of life, love, hope, and faith. May the wisdom that comes through faith sustain us on our journey. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.
