Prayer for Today, Monday, February 6

God of Grace,

Celtic spirituality talks about the “thin places”, those moments and places in life where there is little that separates the present from Your eternity, where there is only a thin veil between this world and Your heaven. May we find a “thin place” today, O Lord. Our lives are full of opportunities to see glimpses of You, but, often, we hurry by. Please forgive us, Loving God. May our pace be slowed, our eyes open, and our hearts receptive to Your eternal presence. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Ken Slack was dismissed from St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City and is now in Assisted Living at The Commons. He is still dealing with major health issues.

Please pray for Ken, and also for Neta Smith and Randy Conrady.

We had nine church members attend the Leadership Training School in Oklahoma City on Saturday. It was a good event.

Yesterday was a good day at Central Christian Church as we celebrated Boy Scout Sunday and the Souper Bowl of Caring. The food for Horn of Plenty will not be picked up until Thursday. If you would like to bring more food items, you can do so until Wednesday evening.

The audible portion of my sermons in the "Talking Faith" series can be listened to on our church website www.centralenid.org. Our 10:15 AM Traditional Service can be viewed, one week later, on Pegasys channel 11 at 4:30 PM on Wednesdays and 2:30 PM on Sundays.
