Prayer for Today, Thursday, February 23

Responsive God,

Please move us out of our complacency. We stand before you stripped of all pretenses, O Lord. We feel vulnerable, yet today we him give ourselves to You. Mold us with Your gentle, yet firm touch, we pray. May we take our 2012 Lenten journey seriously, allowing it to be a time of confession, reflection, and spiritual growth. Please help us take up our crosses and follow Jesus to Jerusalem. It is in His name we pray. AMEN.

We enjoyed our first Thursday Morning Lenten Prayer Breakfast today. Mary Johnson shared her journey of faith and touched our hearts. Plan to join us next Thursday when Roy Smith shares a part of his story.

Please pray for Marjorie Butler's two-month-old great-granddaughter who is having heart surgery.

Janet Lohmeyer has asked for prayers for her father, Bill Edwards, who is facing serious health issues.

Susan Hornberger, our Kids Central director, has asked for prayers for her mother-in-law, Joan Bohannan.
