O God.
So many of us, O Lord, live life as if it were in a black and white movie. The beam of your grace goes through the prism that is Jesus and is refracted into all the colors of the rainbow. As we accept him into our hearts, Loving God, may we experience variety and brilliance in our new wide screen, Technicolor lives of faith. Paint us, Divine Creator, with your pallet so that our lives might reflect Your love. This we pray in Jesus’ name. AMEN

Kent Beaty called me yesterday afternoon to say that the first reports on Liz’s recurring cancer were too optimistic. She is having surgery this morning at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City to remove the cancerous lymph glands under her arm. But there are smaller ones in her neck that cannot be operated on. It will take a week to receive the pathology report after which she will undergo radiation and chemotherapy. She did not receive an encouraging prognosis. Please offer special prayers for Liz and Kent.
