Prayer for Today, Wednesday, February 22

Generous God,

Today is Ash Wednesday, the day we began our Lenten journey. We stand before you, O God, in our sinfulness. Help us, we pray, to use these 40 days to rearrange our priorities and values. Many times we walk over our blessings, taking them for granted. We attempt to place you in a corner of our lives. We recite the words of faith: love, peace, reconciliation, and compassion, get the actions these words represent are often absent. May we use this season of lent to get right with You. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.

Karen Stockwell is in St. Mary's hospital. Ken Slack was in Bass hospital. Jim Goodrich is at the Bass Pavilion. Please pray for Karen, Ken, and Jim.

Karen Moore was back at work yesterday, but she is still feeling the effects of walking pneumonia. Please pray for Karen Moore.

Vera French will have a PET scan next week. Also, she did not break her collar bone when she fell last week. She broke her upper arm. Please pray for Vera.

Twyla Provost is still in a lot of pain resulting from her cracked ribs and a broken arm. Please pray for Twyla.

Of course, we want to keep Randy Conrady in our prayers.
