O Divine Presence,
You are as near to us as our next breath and your eternal presence sustains us. We give You thanks. Even though you are near, forgive us when we take that nearness for granted. Please forgive us, we pray, when we come to you casually and as a matter of convenience. Help us to realize, O Lord, that our relationship takes work on our part. You ask us to be disciplined in our prayers, in our devotion, in our worship, and in our service. We humble ourselves before You seeking forgiveness and asking for guidance. Please hear our prayer. In Jesus' name. AMEN.

Vera French had a successful procedure yesterday. The surgeon removed the area of concern in her lung. She will be in the hospital for a day or so more. Please continue to pray for Vera.
I'm still struggling with this pain that has hobbled me although I think I'm doing a little better. I appreciate your continued prayers.
