God of Hope,
Each new day, O Lord, is a gift and we give You thanks. With each new day we anticipate new opportunities for faithful witness and service. Please forgive us, Loving God, when we squander these opportunities. In the midst of the trials and tribulations of daily living we have hope because Your presence sustains us. Today, may we intentionally do an act of kindness. Today, may we reach out to someone need. Today, may we be the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing hope to our world. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN

John McFaggen died yesterday morning. Please pray for Tom Witty and the rest of John's family. John's funeral will likely be on Wednesday.
Please continue to pray for the family of Leonard Herron. His funeral will be Monday at 11 o'clock.
Please pray for a family that wishes to remain anonymous. They're going through some very difficult times.
Carolyn and I returned safely from Joplin yesterday. The rest of the crew is driving back this morning.
