Prayer for Today, Sunday, March 18

Loving God,

Our prayer today, O Lord, is for safe travels. Since Spring Break is now underway, we have so many people who are or will soon be "on the road.” We pray for your Guiding Spirit to be with them, to watch over them, and to protect them. We offer a special prayer for our mission team, as they travel to Joplin and represent us doing good work for others. In all things You are our God. May our words and deeds honor You. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.

I received the following e-mail from Laurie Bushman:
John, Please add the Riggs family to our prayer list.  This is my friend Carol Rickey’s family.  Carols’ sister-in-law (her brother Mike’s wife) died suddenly yesterday evening at St. Mary’s.  She was only 46, and leaves behind Mike, 3 children, and 2 grandkids.  Needless to say, it was completely unexpected, and the family is reeling.  You might remember Mike used to work on our church copy machines.
Thank you, Laurie

Please pray for the Riggs family.
