Revealing God,
When differing points of view arise within a community of faith, O Lord, we often focus on what WE want and then the situation becomes polarized. Please forgive us, Loving God. Empower us, when such circumstances arise, with the common desire to discern Your will. We hear the echoes of Jesus’ words in the garden when he said, "Not my will, but thine be done." He said these words in prayer. May we, O God, prayerfully seek to discern your will for today and all days. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.

Isaiah 45:18 – 19 (See below. I had a problem with the link)
45:18 For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it a chaos, he formed it to be inhabited!): I am the Lord, and there is no other.45:19 I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, "Seek me in chaos." I the Lord speak the truth, I declare what is right.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
