Prayer for Today, Tuesday, March 20

O Lord, Our Lord,

The journey to Jerusalem with Jesus is difficult. We know that Jesus faced the specter of the cross, but he transformed it into a symbol of abundant and eternal life. We are told to take up our crosses and follow him. We like to think we are followers, but we struggle with cross bearing. Please forgive us, gracious God. The path to abundant life is difficult and calls for sacrifice. We prefer the gain, but not the pain. We confess our reluctance. Please empower us with Your Spirit of grace. May we find strength for the journey. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.

The mission trip is going well. We are having lots of rain, which caused a change of plans yesterday. They have found inside work for today. Our group is doing very well. There are more pictures on the Facebook page which can be accessed through our website www.centralenid.org

Grace and peace,
