O Loving God,
We know how we feel in our hearts, yet our actions often betray us. We seek to be loving, kind and encouraging, but our interactions with others are impacted by tight schedules, confrontations and competing voices that seek our attention. May others forgive us as we seek to make amends. May You forgive us, Dear Lord, when we allow the pressures of life to smother our loving responses to You and to others. Today, may we take deep breathes that help to calm our spirits and clear the clutter from our lives. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.

JOYS AND CONCERNS
We continue to lift up Cyrilla Mette.
Jerry Long is recovering from knee replacement surgery.
We lift up Rev. Allen Nagel’s (UMC Methodist minister in Lamont) 30 year old son, Jason, who lives in Denver.
Rev Dick Duckworth has been released from St. Mary’s
I am having back surgery tomorrow. I have some vertebrae now involved with the prostate cancer. In the L5 the tumor is pressing against a nerve that is causing severe back and leg pain for the last couple of weeks. Dr. Pollard will go in and removed as much of the tumor as possible to relieve the pressure to the nerve. This isn’t a cure. I will have to chemo or radiation later. I will be in the hospital for 3 days and then recuperating at home for a few days.
You will remember when I had knee replacement surgery I asked for prayers but no visits. The same is true now. Please pray, but don’t come to the hospital. When I am sick or hurting I just want to be left alone.
I am optimistic about the outcome and the prognosis, but I will say again, your prayers will be greatly appreciated.
These daily prayers might be sporadic for the next few days.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
