Prayer for Today, Thursday, January 3

Most Gracious God,

You are our strength in times of weakness. You are our comforter in times of sorrow. Today we take refuge in Your loving heart seeking the strength to face the challenges of these times. May we be bold. May we be compassionate. May we be faithful as we embrace the opportunities at hand. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Please continue to pray for the family of Gene Brintnall whose funeral was yesterday.

Gerry Reinhart, Chester Ross, and Jay Russell are all patients at St. Mary’s hospital. Please lift them up in your prayers.

The CYF youth are having a lock-in tonight. Please pray for the youth and their sponsors.

This Sunday is Epiphany. We will leave the Christmas decorations up and begin taking them down next week. At 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12th, we will take down the trees and other decorations in the sanctuary. We need a number of helpers. Please put this date on your calendar. We had a record number of people help decorate. If we have the same number help us un-decorate then it will only take a little while.
