Loving God,
We want to be caring, O Lord. We want to be good people, setting a Christian example for others and there are moments when we do that, but there are so many times when we do not. Please forgive our self-centered, self-serving ways. Jesus set the example as the servant of others. He talked so often of the first being last and the last being first. Help us, Creator God, to use our gifts, talents and resources to benefit others in caring, creative and loving ways. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.
