Prayer for Today, Saturday, June 14

Sweet, Holy Spirit,

Fall afresh on us today. Melt us. Mold us. Fill us. Use us. Spirit of the Living God fall afresh on us. There is something in us that cries out for Your embrace. There is an empty place within us that only You can fill. Help us to know, O God, that You beckon to us, but the decision to respond is always ours. You call us by name, but only we have the ability to turn into Your embrace. We often seek other avenues to fill the emptiness. We place value on what is eternally without value and we overlook the priceless gift of Your love. Forgive us, we pray. May we respond to Your call and may our hearts be joined to Your heart. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.

Becky Meyer’s is recovering at home from her surgery.

 

Please lift up the family of Deloras Oringderff.

 

We continue to lift up Cyrilla Mette who is in Bass Hospital.

 

Please lift up Liz Beaty as she finishes her successful treatments.

 

I am doing pretty good. I look forward to preaching in the R & R service tomorrow.

¹Protect me, O God, for in you I take refuge.

²I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”

⁵The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.

⁷I bless the Lord who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.

⁸I keep the Lord always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also rests secure.

¹⁰For you do not give me up to Sheol, or let your faithful one see the Pit.
