Prayer for Today, Wednesday, August 6

Lord of Life,

 

We are so blessed and yet, so often, we gripe and complain about life’s circumstances. We see the trivial and miss the magnificence that is all around us. Help us to open our eyes and to stand in awe of the movement of Your spirit and the power of Your love. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Pat Maphet’s brother, Bob Grayson, passed away.

 

Marcia Janzen is recovering  from hip replacement surgery at St. Mary’s hospital.

 

Phyllis Phillips is still hospitalized in Bass Hospital.

 

Roy and Janet Camp are in route to Washington. Janet’s niece, Denise Best-Richardson passed away.

 

Please remember the Anton family, Jones family, and Daniels family on the recent death of loved ones.

 

Please pray for our family members and friends.

 

A great amount of enthusiasm for local outreach was generated by  Mission Enid. As a result we are going to have a Mission Sunday on every 5^th Sunday where volunteers can work on projects in the community or “sit down” projects in the church. Watch the Church Visitor for more details.

 

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

 

On August 13^th we will have a cabinet meeting with all the Board officers, Fellowship Group leaders, and Committee Chairs present. We will then have a Board Meeting on August 20^th. This means we will have Board meetings in August and September. After that we will be back to a regular schedule.
