Prayer for Today, Wednesday, November 7

Most Loving God,

How do we show our love for You? We utter words of praise and thanksgiving, yet our actions often fall short. We attend worship, yet our minds and hearts are elsewhere. We serve in leadership roles, yet many times we are motivated, not by new possibilities, but by maintaining the status quo. We want to love You, O Lord. We want to serve You. Please forgive our self-centered ways. May the power of Your grace overwhelm us and cause us to reorder our priorities so that indeed our actions may parallel our words. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Don Coulter and Gene Brintnall may both be released from the hospital today. Ann Murrow is still a patient. Ruth Weston is to have a lung biopsy this afternoon. Please pray for these members and friends.

The 2012 Market of Blessings is this Sunday, November 11th and next Sunday, November 18th. Be sure to look at the tables and support  our outreach ministries. I understand the CWF will have some amazing baked goods for sale.

This Sunday we will also dedicate the new Worship and Wonder space in the Education Wing immediately after the 10:15 a.m. services. Worship and Wonder officially begins on November 18th. This is a great program that will impact our young children and their families.
