Steadfast God,
We are surprised by holy moments in our lives. Certainly we expect a sense of connection with You in our weekly worship and our faith is sustained in our devotions and prayers, but there are other times that catch us unawares. These holy moments come when least expected and take us beyond the routine, even mundane, activities of our lives. They connect us with the Divine. We give You thanks, O Lord, that You are steadfast and unpredictable. Help us to open our eyes and our hearts this day. May we be receptive to those unexpected, unplanned, unexplainable encounters with the mystery of Your presence. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Please pray for Peggy Schaffer and her family as they continue to mourn the death of Howard.
Our Dominican Republic missionaries, Sally and Harry, departed from DFW early this morning and are in route. Please pray for them and the other Oklahomans who are travelling with them. May their week be productive and fulfilling.
Tomorrow there will be congregational meetings in all three services to elect our deacon, elders and Special Gifts trustees.
Looking ahead, the deacons will have a meeting one week from tomorrow, July 14, immediately after the 10:15 service in the sanctuary. All current and new deacons are encouraged to attend.
Tomorrow our deacons and elders will serve communion to the homebound. Please check the new schedule.
