God of Eternal Mystery,
As we journey through Advent toward Christmas may we set aside the mind set of adulthood and recapture the sense of awe and amazement of children. This is an amazing time of year and the Nativity story takes our breath away. We thank You, gracious God, that there is that place within each of us that is moved beyond words as we worship the newborn King. May we prepare our hearts. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.
________
Judi Heller has asked for prayers for Brayden Fisher, one of the extremely premature twins that we prayed for earlier. He weighs 2 pounds and is having heart surgery today. Please pray for Brayden and his family.
Please continue to pray for Olive Traylor and John Stephens.
Please continue to pray for Laura Deatherage as she makes decisions about the cancer treatment.
Byron Whetstone, son-in-law of the Cox’s, is preparing for surgery in St. Louis next week. Please surround Byron with your prayers.
This Sunday is the third Sunday in Advent. Bring a friend with you to Sunday School and worship. Sunday evening our children will present their Christmas Program “KMAS Christmas” at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Come and support our children.
Grace and peace,
John McLemore
