Lord of Hosts,
As we move toward the end of 2013 we reflect on the events that have occurred. Decisions were made. Laughter and tears were shared. We had times of success and times of failure. In all things, however, we give You thanks and praise. Please bless us as we move toward the next year. May it be a time of faith sharing and compassion. May 2014 provide opportunities to reach out and grow our faith community, all to honor You. We offer our hands and feet, our hearts, and our minds to Your service in Jesus name. AMEN.

The church office was closed Wednesday, Thursday, and will be closed today for the Christmas break.
Iretta Terrel’s funeral will be tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Please pray for her family and friends. Iretta was the sister of Deloras Oringderff and the aunt of Shirley Salisbury.
Maxine Ireland is a patient at Bass Hospital. Olive Traylor is also back in Bass. Please pray for Maxine and Olive.
Byron Whetstone, Jim and Janet Cox’s son-in-law, has had a setback after his brain surgery. He was in an ICU in Kansas City on Christmas Eve. Please pray for Byron.
Sandra Justice was to have surgery this week but they discovered heart issues so she is to see Dr. “G” and the surgery was postponed. She was also in a car wreck, but is OK. Please pray for Sandra.

Sunday is the last Sunday of 2013. We will have baptisms and a baby dedication. Please join us at 8:00 or for one of the 10:15 services.
We are doing NEW YEAR’S IN RIO again this year after a few years off. It will be from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on December 31. Tell your friends. We will have a wonderful time with activities for all ages.
