Prayer For Today, Sunday, December 15

Loving God,

We lift up our voices, on this third Sunday in Advent, in songs of praise and rejoicing. May joy fill our hearts. Often we find ourselves in a spiritual desert, but Isaiah tells us the desert will bloom and become like a pool. When that happens in our lives we are overjoyed. May we be open to the guidance of Your spirit. May we respond when Your heart beckons to our hearts. May, O God, our lives experience the joy that comes with redemption. This is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.
