Prayer for Today, Friday, January 3

Empowering God,

 

You lovingly guide us and offer an invitation for us to follow Your son. Stir our hearts, we pray, so that there is a longing for you. Grant us discernment that we may recognize your direction and then have the courage to step out and follow. We trust in you, loving God, and offer You our thanks and praise in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

The funeral for Mae Clark will be today at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. There will be a family meal at 12:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Please pray for Mae’s family and friends.

                        

Teena Cornett is in Bass Hospital. Please pray for Teena.

 

Maxine Ireland is in the Bass Pavilion. Please pray for Maxine.

 

Please pray for the family of Ruth Freeman. Her funeral will be in the sanctuary on Monday at 11:00 a.m.

 

Beth Henneke has asked for prayers for her brother and sister-in-law. Judy has been under hospice care for several months and Dan has been caring for her at their home.  Their house burned down on Tuesday. Please pray for  Dan and Judy Parks.

 

This Sunday, January 5, we will undecorated the church IMMEDIATELY AFTER the 10:15 a.m. services. We will take down all the decorations and store them in their appropriate places. If a number of people can stay we should be done in less than 45 minutes and still have time to go to lunch or watch football. Please plan to stay and help.
