Prayer for Today, Friday, February 14

Dear God,

May our hearts be open to Your love today. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.

_______

John Worden’s mother is in the last days of her life in Florida. Please pray for John and his family.

I am repeating the following email from Sylvia, Jan Hopkins granddaughter: “Rev. McLemore,

Good afternoon.  I wanted to give you an update on my grandmother, Jan Hopkins.  She is doing slightly better.  Hospice is going to be bringing in a high backed wheelchair for her.  This  will allow for her to be in various positions and will allow for her to be out of her room.  She is able to eat pureed food, but has some trouble wanting to eat and swallowing.  We are trying to keep her comfortable.  I found the Central blogspot prayers and I am so grateful that you are including her.  If anyone wants to send a card, they can do so to at the following address:

Sylvia Carrington

10015 Lake Creek Parkway

Apt. 113

Austin, TX 78729

They can put Pa’s name on it but it won’t get delivered if my name isn’t on it.  I am going down weekly to see her.

Thank you again for your prayers they are much appreciated and needed.

Have a wonderful day. Sylvia”

Gene Burkett is still in St. Mary’s and is doing better. Naomi reports he may be able to go home on the 19th.

Olive Traylor moved to Texas yesterday. Her address is c/o Atria Richardson, Room 220, 1493 Richardson Drive, Richardson, TX 75080. Her cell # is 580-551-9518.

Please pray for all these family and friends.

The Civitan Valentine Dance is tonight at 6:30. Please bring cookies and pop.

I am teaching a Disciples 101 Class on February 16 & 23 at 9:00 a.m. in the multi-purpose room. We will discuss Disciples of Christ history and practices as well as those of Central Christian Church. Invite a friend and bring them to the class.

Grace and peace,
