O Great God,
There is so much darkness in the world, in our lives and in our souls. Forgive us, Dear Lord, when we choose those actions and thoughts which lead to darkness. The Gospel of John records Jesus as saying “I am the light of the World. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” Today, O God, empower us with Your Spirit so that we might choose light and life! In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.
